The Great Plains Parish was established in 1999.  This two point parish includes St Paul Lutheran, Bowdle and St John's Lutheran, Hosmer.  The leadership consists of four representatives from each of the churches.  The chair of the parish board rotates annually between the council presidents from each congregation.

 

The worship time schedules rotate every four months, January through April, May through August, and September through December, keeping the fellowship hour and Sunday School at 10:00 AM in both locations allowing Pastor time to meet and greet before and after worship.  Worship times are either 9:00 or 11:00.

 

The parsonage is located in Bowdle, and the congregations share the expenses.  The parish also provides a car for pastoral use.
